The PL4000 is a 4th generation AC programmable load box designed for precise testing of AC EV chargers up to 14kW. Compatible with TESCO’s T4000 and T4350 EVSE Test Systems, the PL4000 is ideal for single-phase AC charger validation across CCS1 (J1772) and NACS standards. This rugged yet portable solution enables manufacturers, service providers, and regulatory bodies to ensure accuracy, reliability, and compliance for AC charging systems.
Charger Capabilities:
- 29 Amps at 120V chargers (~3.5kW)
- 50 Amps at 208V chargers (~10.5kW)
- 58 Amps at 240V chargers (~14kW)
Product Description:
Auto-Interface: The T4000 / T4350 automatically detects the load box when it is plugged in. The user does not need to select the load box type in EVSE Tester UI.
Auto Cool-off: When the PL4000 completes a test it will use the EVSE Tester battery to spin the fans slowly and cool off.
Breakers: The unit has AC breakers and DC breaks (if used in special cases with DC chargers)
Temperature, Humidity and Fan Speed Sensors:
- The unit has built in sensors for ambient temperature, exhaust temperature, humidity, and fan speed.
- If a sensor or fan is malfunctioned, the unit will cease testing
